Juanita Portee, an elderly woman, became an unclaimed person following her death on September 16, 2003. Prior to her passing, she had been admitted to a hospital on July 2, 2003, in Moncks Corner, South Carolina. Despite efforts, the hospital was unable to locate or identify any next of kin for Ms. Portee. She had been a resident of a nursing home in Moncks Corner for nearly two years before her hospitalization.
