On January 17, 1993, in Queens, New York, an unresponsive male was discovered in the basement of 126-18 89th Avenue following a fire that drew the attention of local firefighters. The man, later referred to in official records as Sergio Sinero, was found by extinguishing firefighters who had been dispatched to the scene due to reports of the blaze.
