On March 11, 1986, the body of an unidentified male was discovered in a field near the intersection of Sumer and Bryan in Raisin City, a rural area of Fresno County, California. The location, surrounded by agricultural land, offered few immediate clues about the circumstances leading to the man's death. Despite efforts by local authorities, the individual remained unidentified for decades, and the case was entered into the National Missing and Unidentified Persons System under ID UCP148041.
