On July 27, 1981, the lifeless body of a man later identified as Thomas Joseph Jones Jr. was discovered in Fort Worth, Texas. The body was found lying in an auto lot parking area by a passerby, who promptly alerted local law enforcement. No immediate signs of what had led to the death were documented publicly, and the scene offered little in the way of definitive clues. Jones Jr.’s identity would later be confirmed, but his case remains that of an unclaimed person.
