On May 27, 2019, the body of a woman identified as Bernice Leatrice Buck was discovered in Dallas, Texas. She was formally pronounced deceased within the city limits, prompting the Southwestern Institute of Forensic Sciences to open a case to investigate the circumstances and to locate her next of kin. Bernice remains an unclaimed person, and efforts to connect her with surviving family members have yet to succeed.
