In July 2007, the discovery of an unclaimed body in Everett, Washington, prompted an investigation to unravel the circumstances surrounding the case of Eugene R. Krug. Found on the 15th of July, the male body had been later pronounced deceased at Providence Everett Medical Center. Medical examination revealed that the cause of death was a stroke, a condition that had led to his untimely demise.
