On the morning of March 21, 2025, a 65-year-old Hispanic male, later identified as Victor Rodriguez Maldonado, was discovered unresponsive in a shopping center parking lot located in Compton, California. A security officer on patrol first encountered Mr. Maldonado at approximately 8:20 AM and immediately summoned emergency services to the scene. The Compton Fire Department arrived shortly thereafter, and paramedics officially pronounced Mr. Maldonado deceased at 8:49 AM.
