On September 9, 2024, a neighbor in Los Angeles, California, became concerned after noticing that Rotman Marek, a male resident, had not been seen for more than three weeks. This prompted the neighbor to request a welfare check. In response to this request, the Los Angeles Fire Department was dispatched to the location. Upon arrival, the paramedics conducted an assessment and subsequently pronounced Marek deceased at 2056 hours.
