On September 13, 2024, at approximately 3:30 PM, a landlord arrived at the residence of Dojun Oki in Alhambra, California, to conduct a welfare check following complaints from neighbors about a foul odor emanating from her apartment. Despite knocking on the door, the landlord did not receive any response, prompting a call to emergency services.
