On February 21, 2023, Donovan Konrad Shelby was discovered deceased in his apartment in Washington, District of Columbia. This unfortunate discovery came about after his case manager expressed concern due to an inability to contact him for several days. Her growing unease led to a welfare check at Shelby's residence.
