On April 9, 2016, the body of a man identified as Ronald E. Pollock was discovered in Knoxville, Tennessee. Despite efforts to trace any next of kin, Pollock remains an unclaimed person, cataloged in the NamUs database under ID UCP2451. His case has been handled by the Knox County Regional Forensic Center, in cooperation with the Knoxville Police Department.
Following the discovery, the Knoxville Police Department reached out to Pollock's known contacts. This included his ex-wife and stepdaughter who were informed of his passing. During these communications, it was suggested that Pollock might have a son, although it seems any further information regarding this potential kin has yet to be confirmed or located.
The case is actively maintained with Knox County Regional Forensic Center cataloged under agency case number 16-1384, and within the police department under case number 16-014952. Despite best efforts, Pollock’s remains have not been claimed by any family members, and the search for possible relatives, including the purported son, continues in the hope of providing him a dignified resolution.
