In early June of 2024, the Denver Office of the Medical Examiner responded to a welfare check, which led to the discovery of the body of Richard Scott Shafner. The welfare check was conducted at an undisclosed location in Denver, Colorado, where his body was found. Authorities are currently unable to locate any next-of-kin to claim the remains of Mr. Shafner, whose details have been cataloged under Namus ID: UCP129449.
