On September 21, 2024, an unclaimed individual identified as Eric Hamby was discovered deceased at a post-acute skilled nursing facility in Lancaster, California. The decedent had been under hospice care within the facility, where he was receiving end-of-life support. At approximately 5:30 a.m., staff at the facility found Eric Hamby unresponsive in his bed.
