On October 17, 2024, at approximately 10:00 a.m., the body of Joseluis Zavaleta was found on an embankment beside a freeway in Los Angeles, California. The discovery was made by a friend who was conducting a welfare check, concerned about Zavaleta's well-being. Immediately after finding Zavaleta unresponsive, the friend contacted emergency services by calling 911. The Los Angeles Fire Department arrived swiftly at the scene to assess the situation.
