On April 30, 2023, Gary Masumoto, an unclaimed person, was discovered deceased at his residence in Waianae, Hawaii. The discovery was made by police personnel who had been dispatched to conduct a welfare check on him. Following the discovery, Gary's body was transported to the Department of the Medical Examiner in Honolulu for further examination.
