On June 19, 2023, the body of Arturo Vanegas was discovered in Denver, Colorado. Vanegas was found unresponsive by an unidentified passerby, who alerted authorities to the scene. Initial observations and evidence suggested that he was a person experiencing homelessness at the time of his passing. Despite efforts by the Denver Office of the Medical Examiner, Vanegas remains an unclaimed person, with no known next of kin having come forward to claim him.
