On August 21, 2023, the remains of Catherine Anne Douglass were discovered in Merced, California. The deceased was found lying next to a fence, located in close proximity to railroad tracks. Initial observations suggest that she died peacefully in her sleep. The state of decomposition of the body indicated that she had been in that location for one to two weeks prior to being found.
