On October 10, 2023, the body of an unclaimed male, identified as Thomas Rittenhouse, was found in Ayer, Massachusetts. Rittenhouse was discovered unresponsive within the confines of FMC Devens, a federal medical facility for incarcerated individuals. Preliminary assessments suggest that his death was likely due to natural causes. Despite being under care while imprisoned, his passing remained unclaimed with no immediate relatives or representatives coming forward.
