On May 28, 1970, the remains of a deceased individual, later identified as Ernest Brooks, were discovered in Alexandria, Louisiana. Despite exhaustive efforts by local authorities, the case remained unresolved, ultimately leading to the decedent being classified as an unclaimed person. As part of ongoing efforts to bring closure to unresolved cases, the remains were transferred to the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences (HCIFS) in Houston, Texas, for a more comprehensive analysis.
