On March 22, 2022, a tragic discovery was made in downtown San Diego, California, when apartment staff detected an unsettling odor emanating from a unit. Upon conducting a welfare check, staff entered the secured apartment and discovered the deceased body of Jose Antonio Roman, a 60-year-old man who lived alone. His body was found on the bathroom floor in an advanced stage of decomposition, reflecting a significant period since his passing.
