On December 18, 2012, the body of Paul Cook, a male individual, was discovered in a shelter in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Despite initial investigations, Cook's case remained unclaimed, leading to its entry into the National Missing and Unidentified Persons System (NamUs) with the ID UCP1873. His remains were taken in by the Massachusetts Office of Chief Medical Examiner, a pivotal state agency responsible for the inquiry and resolution of such cases.
