Carl Lee Holman, a 43-year-old resident of San Francisco, was fatally shot on June 23, 2017, in the city's Tenderloin District. The shooting occurred in the early hours of the morning on the unit block of Turk Street. San Francisco paramedics arrived at the scene around 5:05 a.m., finding Holman lying on the ground with a gunshot wound. Despite being rushed to Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital, Holman succumbed to his injuries shortly after.
Following the shooting, San Francisco Police Department investigators quickly identified a suspect, John Muhammed, a 45-year-old resident of the Bayview District. Muhammed was arrested two days later by officers from the SFPD Gang Task Force and Bayview Station, facing charges including felony murder and possession of a loaded firearm. The authorities have not publicly disclosed a motive behind the shooting, and the investigation continues as police request any additional information from potential witnesses to help resolve the case.
