On July 2, 2017, Solomon Patrick, a 19-year-old former high school football player, was shot and killed in front of a home on Tachevah Drive in Cathedral City, California. Patrick was at a house party when an argument escalated into violence. He was shot three times in the chest, and he succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
