Death by Force

Datreal Tubbs, a 31-year-old Black man, was fatally shot on the night of July 10, 2016, in Indianapolis, Indiana. The incident occurred around 11 p.m. in a parking lot located in the 9000 block of Compton Street, near 91st Street and College Avenue on the city's north side. When officers from the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department arrived at the scene in response to reports of gunfire, they discovered Tubbs unresponsive. Emergency medical personnel pronounced him dead at the scene.
