In the late hours of a summer evening in Indianapolis, Indiana, tragedy struck, forever altering the lives of one family. On the night of July 10, 2016, Datreal Tubbs, a 31-year-old Black male, was fatally shot. The incident unfolded around 11 p.m. in a parking lot situated in the 9000 block of Compton Street, near the intersection of 91st Street and College Avenue on the city's north side.
