Ceaira M. Reed, a 29-year-old woman from Harvey, Illinois, was found dead on November 3, 2019, in Whitestown, Indiana. Her body was discovered inside a white Mercedes-Benz SUV, which was positioned against the guardrail on northbound Interstate 65 near the 131-mile marker. Reed had sustained multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene. The initial call to the police was for a disabled vehicle, but upon arrival, officers quickly realized it was a homicide.
