Patsy Ayers Cole, aged 64, tragically lost her life on July 3, 2002, in Halifax County, Virginia. Patsy was a retired lab technician at Halifax Regional Hospital and was well-regarded in her community. On the day of her death, she was working in her vegetable garden when she was fatally shot by her neighbor, James Bryant Hudson.
