In a quiet Gloucester Point neighborhood on a Sunday afternoon in June, the lives of many were irrevocably altered by a tragic and violent series of events. Jonathan 'Jack' Alan McKinsey, a 28-year-old male, was enjoying a pool party with his girlfriend, Allie Ketch, and her four children at their home on Gloucester Road. The seemingly idyllic day took a dark turn when Allie's estranged husband, Keith Philip Ketch, began circling the neighborhood.

the home tried to get the children to safety inside the house. Jack McKinsey, in a heroic effort to protect his loved ones, positioned himself between them and the approaching threat. In the backyard of the home, Keith Ketch opened fire, fatally shooting McKinsey.
