In the early hours of a Saturday in June 2013, a domestic disturbance call led to the untimely death of 21-year-old Gregory Allen Rosson Jr. of Crozet, Virginia. On June 8, 2013, Albemarle County police responded to a 911 call regarding a domestic situation at a residence on Route 250 in Afton. Upon arrival at approximately 2:16 a.m., the responding officer witnessed a female being assaulted outside the home.
