In the quiet community of Powhatan County, Virginia, the life of 48-year-old John Rafter Jr. came to a violent and tragic end on December 9, 2016. A Capital One employee and father of three, he was discovered deceased in his home by his 13-year-old son. The young boy had woken up late for school and went to his father's room, only to find a horrific scene. His father was in bed with a fatal shotgun wound to the head.
