Kaycee Fadiya, aged 46, was fatally shot on January 25, 2008, in the Edgewater neighborhood of Chicago. The incident occurred at the convenience store he owned, the Edgewater Mini Mart, located in the 1200 block of West Devon Avenue, near Loyola University. The attack took place shortly after 11 a.m. on that day, while Fadiya was working at his store.
