On July 18, 2017, 28-year-old Black male, Michael A. Peterman of Chicago, Illinois, invited an acquaintance into his home in the Heart of Chicago area on the city's Lower West Side.
Sometime around 10:50 p.m., inside the 1600 block of West 18th Place, what began as a familiar visit shifted into danger, and the night set into motion events that would end in tragedy for Micheal A. Peterman.
