In the quiet coastal town of Colonial Beach, Virginia, the life of 31-year-old Marlane Christina King was tragically cut short on April 3, 2020. On that day, concerned for her well-being, a family member requested that police perform a welfare check at her residence on Second Street. When officers arrived, they were met by Martin Edenilson Flores, who lived with King, but he denied them entry, claiming she had left earlier. This refusal prompted the officers to obtain a search warrant.
