On March 24, 2008, Maggie Browder, a 70-year-old resident of Chicago, was killed in her home when a bullet entered through her front window. The incident occurred in the West Pullman neighborhood, just after 6 a.m. Maggie had heard her doorbell ring and was peeking through the blinds in her living room when she was struck by a gunshot.
