Mary Ann Cook, a 70-year-old resident of Boones Mill, Virginia, tragically passed away on December 22, 2021. She was found dead in her home from an apparent gunshot wound. The Franklin County Sheriff's Office quickly identified the suspect as 30-year-old Dominic Novia, who was apprehended shortly after the incident. Novia was charged with second-degree murder and held without bond at the Franklin County Jail.
