Ulysses Simmons, age 14, was shot and killed on June 16, 2008, in Chicago, Illinois, following a dispute over a bicycle. The incident occurred near his home in the South Side neighborhood of Cottage Grove. Ulysses and his friends had been riding their bikes, and while they stopped at his home, the bikes were stolen.
