Omar Meza, a 21-year-old male, was shot and killed on July 26, 2008, in Chicago, Illinois. The homicide took place in the Humboldt Park neighborhood, an area known for experiencing episodes of gang violence and other criminal activities during that period. Meza was reportedly walking on the sidewalk when he was approached by an unknown assailant who opened fire. He was struck multiple times, and despite emergency responders arriving at the scene, he succumbed to his injuries shortly after.
