In the spring of 1987, Sandra Lynn Williams, a 20-year-old Caucasian female from Beebe, Arkansas, was working at a nursing home with her mother and looking forward to a future that seemed full of promise. On the afternoon of Saturday, April 25th, she left her home between 4:00 and 4:30 p.m. to make the drive to the nearby town of Quitman to visit her boyfriend.
