In the early evening of December 19, 2018, a burst of gunfire shattered the quiet of a Paterson, New Jersey, neighborhood, leaving a young man's life cut tragically short. Lexander Torres, a 23-year-old male, was found lying on the sidewalk at the intersection of East 18th Street and 16th Avenue. He had sustained a fatal gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene by medical personnel who had rushed to the chaotic unfolding of events.
