In the quiet community of Burlington Township, New Jersey, a tragedy unfolded that cut short the life of 28-year-old Tianna Drummond. On the morning of January 2, 2020, police were called to the Willow Pointe Apartments on Salem Road to check on the welfare of the occupants of one of the units. A neighbor had contacted authorities after hearing a loud and sustained argument coming from the apartment the couple shared.

Upon entering the residence, officers made a grim discovery. They found the bodies of Tianna Drummond and her 30-year-old fiancé, Kristopher Corry. The scene within the apartment told a story of a violent end to what appeared to be a happy relationship. An investigation by the Burlington County Prosecutor's Office and the Burlington Township Police Department would later reveal the harrowing details of what had transpired.

The investigation concluded that Kristopher Corry had beaten Tianna Drummond to death. Following the brutal assault on his partner, Corry then took his own life with a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Autopsies performed by the Burlington County Medical Examiner confirmed that Drummond's death was a homicide and Corry's was a suicide. As the perpetrator was also deceased, no arrests were made in the case, and the investigation was closed. The couple left behind two young sons, who were not present at the time of the incident.
