In the quiet evening of April 27, 2022, a burst of violence shattered the peace on the 200 block of Ivy Road in Edgewater Park, New Jersey, claiming the life of 23-year-old Sameil M. Barrett of Willingboro. Barrett, a male born on September 24, 1998, was seated in a parked car when the fatal attack occurred.

His companion was also struck by the gunfire but survived the ordeal.
