On March 20, 1978, Elizabeth Hale, aged 44, was tragically killed during an armed robbery at the Sunshine Grocery Store in Flushing, Michigan. The assailants entered the store around 7:50 p.m., where Hale was present along with two other individuals: Robert Shepp Jr., 18, and Shirley Parvin, 51. All three victims were fatally shot during the incident.
