Ryan Joseph Proxmire, a 39-year-old deputy with the Kalamazoo County Sheriff's Office, tragically lost his life on August 15, 2021, following a critical incident that occurred the previous day. Deputy Proxmire was involved in a vehicle pursuit in Climax Township, Michigan, when he was shot by a suspect.
