Jamarcus Townsend, a 21-year-old from Newton, Mississippi, was tragically shot and killed on March 17, 2017. The incident occurred shortly before midnight in front of a house on Tillman Street in Newton. Townsend's death was the result of a violent altercation between rival gangs in the area. He was shot multiple times, and by the time police arrived at the scene, he was already deceased.
