Devonte Patterson, aged 22, was shot and killed on June 26, 2010, in the Englewood neighborhood of Chicago. The shooting occurred around 4:00 a.m. at 6252 South Ashland Avenue, where Patterson, along with another man named Andre Tucker, was targeted. Patterson suffered multiple gunshot wounds to the chest, and despite the prompt response by emergency services, he did not survive the attack.
