Vernardo Washington was tragically killed on July 2, 2017, in Cruger, Mississippi. On the night of his death, Washington was working as a DJ at Club CJ’s. After finishing his shift, he was waiting to receive his paycheck when three men from Greenwood, two of whom were armed, entered the club. The men, identified as Perez Love, Demantreous Love, and Jamar Newsome, proceeded to rob and shoot Washington.
