In the early hours of a Sunday morning in Edwards, Mississippi, the life of 27-year-old Djuana Lanyea Robinson was tragically cut short. On January 26, 2020, Robinson was found deceased in her apartment at the Brandon Arms Apartment complex, a victim of gunshot wounds in what authorities would rule a double homicide. Also killed in the violent episode was 57-year-old Michael Anthony Lawson. A child's 911 call alerted the Hinds County Sheriff's Office to the shooting.
