Joe Glen Taylor, a 32-year-old man from the Foxworth community, was walking along Shiloh Firetower Road, reportedly on his way to a relative's house. It was on this walk that his life was cut short. He was discovered unresponsive near Turnage Chapel Road, having been fatally shot. When law enforcement arrived at the scene on March 7, 2020, they found him already deceased.
His death was quickly classified as a homicide, launching an investigation into who was responsible for the violent act that ended the young man's life.
The Marion County Sheriff's Office took the lead on the case, beginning the difficult process of piecing together the events of that night.
