In the winter of 2021, the life of 23-year-old Darrius Damarquell Reginal was tragically cut short in Jackson, Mississippi. On the evening of January 27th, a burst of gunfire erupted at the intersection of State Street and Northside Drive, leaving Reginal with fatal injuries. He was a young Black male whose untimely death would soon become the subject of a complex police investigation.
