In the summer of 2017, the life of 56-year-old David Ray Allen, a White/Caucasian male, was brought to a tragic and violent end in Purcell, Oklahoma. His body was discovered on June 12, 2017, concealed under debris behind the house he shared with his caregiver and girlfriend, Sherry Lynn Lowe. An investigation swiftly determined that Allen had been fatally shot in the head.
The ensuing investigation uncovered a sinister plot allegedly orchestrated by Lowe and a man named Logan Thacker.
The motive behind the brutal crime appeared to be the theft of Allen's pickup truck. Lowe and Thacker reportedly planned to use the vehicle for a trip to California. The situation began to unfold days earlier, on June 6, when Allen reported his truck missing after Lowe had borrowed it and failed to bring it back.
