In the small town of McLoud, Oklahoma, 16-year-old Kaylen Thomas was known for her vibrant spirit and involvement in her community. A student at McLoud High School, she was active in cross country, basketball, and archery. Her life, however, was tragically cut short on October 5, 2018, when she was fatally shot in the head at a friend's home. The incident, which occurred amongst a group of teenagers, was initially investigated as a possible accident.
